Life got you down? What if you could laugh anyway? Christian comedian Tracy DeGraaf (along with her bff Cathrine) will drop weekly episodes (Wednesdays) on topics you care about like how your marriage can survive your husband’s loud chewing, how you can laugh about your kids driving you nuts, and how to scoff off those lady whiskers and not worry about your Howdy Doody sleep wrinkle. Tracy and Cathrine have been next door neighbors and besties for over 20 years. They survived the Great Recession, teenage years, disappointment, health crisis, depression and other stuff that sucks. They have truly learned the secret of Life Happens Laugh Anyway. At the end of each episode, the ladies will point you to faith in Jesus Christ as the ultimate answer regardless of how weird life gets.

***MORE ABOUT TRACY DEGRAAF COMEDY***
Hi Friends, Tracy here. My husband and I survived raising 5 boys and there were so many funny stories along the way. Now is my time to "show and tell." 🥳 I put these stories in my book and on stage in my comedy act. It's so much fun.

If you're new to my comedy, here's a little about me.
I'm from the Chicago area and I perform my one-woman clean comedy show “Life Happens Laugh Anyway” nationwide for both corporate and non-profit organizations.
My comedy combines two of my passions: Christianity and breast cancer awareness. (I was diagnosed in 2016 with stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma...a fancy name for breast cancer. Currently, I'm doing great and am cancer free!)
As a Christian and a breast cancer survivor, I use my platform to inspire women spiritually and motivate them to schedule their breast cancer screenings. I like to tell women “I want you to know Jesus, but I don’t want you to meet Him face-to-face just yet.” 🙏❤️
I pull material from my experiences as a wife, mother of five grown sons and middle-aged woman. I love performing for Girls Night Out Events, Women’s Conferences, Fundraisers, Breast Cancer Awareness Events, Cancer Survivor Events and more. I was trained for comedy at The Second City in Chicago. I'm happily married to my husband, Ron (a.k.a. Muffin) since 1989 and we are now empty nesters! 😁 We can't stop smiling. Our boys are spread out between Colorado, Illinois and Indiana.
I publish a weekly podcast called Life Happens Laugh Anyway with my bff Cathrine and it is so much fun. We started the podcast when the world shut down during Covid since all of my shows were canceled. It's a hoot. We tackle a new topic weekly that we think our audience will care about and discuss it in an entertaining way. We close each episode with some spiritual encouragement. 👍

- Think you know some stuff about skin cancer? We start off with a fun little quiz. Spoiler alert....Cathrine got some wrong. He he.
- Basic Overview of Skin Cancer
- Prevention
Inspirational close: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
CTA: PROTECT YOURSELVES!!!! Practice "Safe Sun" and do all the things like:
- Wear a good sunscreen whenever you are in the sun with a nice and high SPF number like 30 or above so that your skin won't change color. There's no such thing as a "healthy" tan.
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours and right after swimming or sweating.
- Wear a hat.
- Wear sunglasses.
- Wear protective clothing.
- Don't be out in the blazing sun at high noon. TAKE COVER. Shade trees, umbrellas, or just go inside where it's cool and shaded by ya know a ROOF.
- Get a mole check once a year by an expert (dermatologist) and keep an eye on your own self and your loved ones. If you notice something wonky....go get it checked out.
We love you and want you to be as healthy as possible!

Episode 129-Rulon Jeffs, Warren Jeffs, Polygamy & Scandal
Wednesday Jun 21, 2023
Wednesday Jun 21, 2023
Hey Humor Consumers,
You won't believe this, or maybe you will...we actually FINALLY recorded our episode on the topic of "Procrastination." After a year and a half or more of putting it off, we finally did it. It was supposed to drop today. But, when Cathrine went to edit it and get it uploaded into our Podbean account, the audio file was garbage. The first seven minutes was ok, but nothing after that was usable.
Sooooooo, you know what that means! It will take us a minimum of another year or more to redo it and get it out to you all.
In the meantime, we had Keep Sweet Pray and Obey in the queue so here ya go.
Ya, today's episode checks all the boxes of weird, hard, scary and stupid! You know what I mean? These Jeffs guys are total NUT BAGS! They are out there. We stumbled upon the doc and decided to bring it to you all. In case you haven't noticed, we are trying to do a documentary once a month because you seem to like them.
BTW, if you didn't get a chance to listen to last week's episode about stuff we no longer can live without.......go back and give it a listen. About half way through Cathrine and I LOST IT and it's hilarious. I slipped up on a word that had two meanings and it sounded like I was talking about intimacy but I was really talking about something totally different. Anyway, we laugh anyway right?
Back to the Jeffs.
Today we are sharing...
- Who are the Jeffs?
- A review of Keep Sweet, Pray and Obey
- The Dangers of Cults
Inspirational close: Romans 16:17-18
CTA: If you are looking for a spiritual connection RUN from NUT BAGS like the Jeffs and run to a good local church that has these three things: accountability, transparency and they welcome questioning.
Tracy and Cathrine

CTA: Prepare for grid shutdown. Ha ha. Joking but not joking...what would you do if you had no electricity for a prolonged period of time? Sorta think about that and plan accordingly.
the Bible app we mention in this episode is called You Version and the Bible in a year plan is called One Story that Leads to Jesus. ;0)
